Team Profile

David Weltz

David Weltz is the President and Managing Director of Weltz Group. He has a Bachelor or Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a Master of Computer Science, both from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. David also has an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He has over 20 years experience including AT&T, Bell Laboratories and Scholastic. David lives in Jersey City, New Jersey where he is president of his condo board.

Rahul Kumar

Rahul is the Technical Director at Weltz Group. He attended the prestigious SSGMCE College of Engineering in Amravati, India where he was the Gold Medalist, an award given to the top student in the Electronics Department. His degree was in Electronics and Telecommunications and he had honors in Satellite Communications. Rahul has over 15 years of experience in software development. His work experience includes Federal Reserve Bank, BMW, Lifetouch, RCN and Scholastic. He lives in Wayne, New Jersey with his wife and two sons.

David and Rahul worked on COOL (Club Order OnLine), Scholastic's major initiative to allow teachers to order books online rather through the mail. Both were members of the development team that saw Scholastic successfully redefine the way Scholastic does business.
